What This View Shows

The Dashboard is a flexible canvas containing one or more widgets, each of which embeds a full VolSignals view. Widgets can be resized and repositioned to create your ideal layout.

The default layout includes Positions by Strike (top left), Position Grid (bottom left), and Gradient View (bottom). Each widget operates independently with its own product selection, configuration, and live/historical controls.

Dashboard Controls

Lock Dashboard

Click the lock icon to toggle between locked and unlocked modes:

  • Unlocked — Widgets can be dragged and resized. Drag handles appear at the top of each widget.
  • Locked — Widgets are fixed in place, preventing accidental rearrangement.

Add View

Click "Add View" to add a new widget. Available view types: Position Grid, Positions by Strike, Positions by Expiration, Gradient View, and Simulation Grid. New widgets appear at the bottom and can be dragged to your preferred position.

ℹ Info

There is a maximum of 20 widgets per dashboard. The Add View button is disabled when this limit is reached.

Reset

Click "Reset" to remove all widgets and start with a blank slate.

Working with Widgets

Moving Widgets

When the dashboard is unlocked, drag a widget by its title bar to reposition it. Other widgets automatically rearrange to make room.

Resizing Widgets

Drag the edges or corners of any widget to resize it. The grid layout snaps to a 12-column system.

Removing Widgets

Click the × button in the top-right corner of any widget's title bar to remove it.

Configuring Widgets

Each widget is a fully functional VS3D view. You can change the selected product, open the configuration panel, toggle between live and historical mode, and adjust view-specific settings — all independently of other widgets.

Layout Persistence

Your dashboard layout is saved in the URL, so it persists across page refreshes. Bookmark a specific configuration or share it via URL.

💡 Tip

Start with the default layout and adjust from there. Lock the dashboard after arranging your widgets to prevent accidental moves during analysis. Create focused layouts for different scenarios — for example, multiple Gradient Charts showing Gamma, Charm, and Vanna side by side. Use Position Grid alongside Gradient Chart to correlate raw positioning with Greek exposure. Note that each widget loads its own data stream, so many widgets may decrease performance.
